As Samantha Wishaw watches the love of her life marry another woman, she’s ready to give up hope of finding her happy ever after. But when a chance encounter leads Sam to find friendship in Thomas - a lonely, grumpy…

Well, what can I say…? I absolutely devoured this book in a day. It’s such a lovely book that’s so full of emotion, and not just happiness, and at times I was so frustrated with the way Sammie was being treated by her family.

I don’t want to go I to too much detail regarding the toxic family dynamics as it will give away some of the storyline. I did love Sammie’s Dad and also Gramps (I miss mine too and struggled at the beginning to read as was emotional and tears were nearly streaming).

The writing style is fantastic and totally pulls you in. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and looking forward to reading the rest of the series.
